In 2016, Sacred Heart decided to reinvent their main “Campus Visit” piece. A brochure that is one of the first points of contact between a potential student and the university, it is paramount that it projects all that SHU has to offer.

AtoZ developed three concepts for this 12-page brochure—each with revamped and simplified solutions to communicate all that makes SHU unique. SHU chose the “fast facts” infographic option in a brochure that touts white space and a muted palette of colors set off against a slew of engaging student photos. This brochure has withstood the test of time and is still in use, with yearly updates.

In 2019, Sacred Heart was looking to revamp their Living & Learning brochure, stating that “overall the piece felt too dense and the design dated, with long copy blocks and too many small photos on each spread.”

solution

Taking new branding standards into account, AtoZ developed an open look for this lengthy 52-page book. Adjusting the orientation to be wider than it is tall allowed for vertical section markers and large full-bleed photos paired next to content with sidebar highlights.

In 2014 SHU wanted to reach out to its students with an informational poster series on the various departments and activities that were available to students.

AtoZ has been designing SHU’s orientation materials since 2016. The “All Access Pass” theme has been in place for some time, but each year the design is revamped, icons are created, and the graphic themes are applied to Student and Parent IDs as well as banners for web and around campus.

In 2020, AtoZ was asked to envision a larger self-mailing design and format. Three concepts were presented, all formats which would simplify the instructions and help students more easily navigate the online registration experience. A vertical solution was chosen with bold typography and fun-filled photographs smattered throughout to excite new students about their upcoming orientation at Sacred Heart.

AtoZ developed a fresh, clean feel for this 16-page book, with large fun typography on the cover and open, photo-filled, easy-to-navigate pages for this content-heavy piece.
