An artisanal peanut-butter line developed by two sisters in New York City.

assignment

Design labels for a sassy new entry into the gourmet peanut butter category that reflects the founders and their unique ingredients.

solution

Developing a concept that reflects the “high quality, stand your ground, take on all-comers, completely homemade peanut butter” that is Bitchin’ Butters was a really fun assignment. Their flavors—Not-So-Plain Jane, Big Bad Ruby, Dark Brown Debbie and Fanny Got Back—stand out on the shelf through the use of bold type, bright colors and a design that reclaims the sexy woman “trucker silhouettes”—morphing them into unique, powerful and yet still sexy ladies.

client

A family-owned artisanal peanut butter company in New York City.

assignment

The company needed a logo that would take them from a spark of an idea and a great tasting product to the shelves of specialty markets.

solution

A logo that reflects the spunk and fire of the two sisters that created their line of unique butters, yet would be flexible enough to shift colors by favor and work well against their feminista-inspired packaging.
